AKA's album Mass Country has acquired so much success since it was released and has received rave reviews from the Megacy. By now, many people might have listened to it however one of AKA's friends Pearl Thusi says she just started listening to it.

When Pearl listened to the album, she could not help but catch a possible sub from Kiernan on his hit song Company featuring Kiddominant.

AKA makes a reference to 'Gqim Shelele' which is sports caster Robert Marawa's famous saying. Robert was in a relationship with Pearl Thusi and when Mega says “Diamonds ain’t gqimm’ shelele”, she took that as a direct dig towards her.

After listening to the full project, Pearl said well done to AKA and said she was sorry that he did not get the chance to perform the music on Mass Country.

“Well done Kiernan. I’m sure you couldn’t wait to perform this one. I’m kinda mad we never go to see that properly with whatever your bigger vision was…I miss you, bro. I even miss arguing with you. Sorry I took long to really listen properly. It was still too painful. You should be proud of this one… wherever you are,” Pearl wrote.

Taking to IG, Nadia Nakai and DJ Zinhle were amongst the people who showed love to Pearl. “I’m so sorry, friend”wrote DJ Zinhle.

Her message also pours cold water to the speculations that they are no longer friends. She once addressed this in an interview and said they are fine they just have their own differences.

“Pearl and I are fine… we have an everlasting sisterhood. Much like every relationship has its ups and downs, we go through that as well. We are at a point in our lives where we don’t have to explain ourselves to people as long as we’re accountable to each other and our friendship,” Zinhle said.

Despite this rave review Slik Talk would disagree with Pearl. He said Mass Country is bad and gave it a 2/10 review.

“So I just listened to AKA’s new album called Mass Country and I’m going to give it a solid 2//10. I absolutely hate everything about this album, it’s absolutely one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard in my life. Sonically, it doesn’t even sound good, the mixing is terrible, I do not like this album one bit,” he started out.

“It has not 1 hit, people talk about the song called Company, it’s not a hit, AKA left us an absolute piece of sh*t. This album is not worth listening to for the second time,” further added Slik Talk.

“I heard a lousy verse from Nadia Nakai which was not needed absolutely at all. I don’t know why she was there, she didn’t deserve to be there, she didn’t need to be there,” he added.
