Pearl remembered her late father by shared a throwback video of them on her Instagram page, sharing a special moment and they looked happy whilst giggling. She wrote a heartfelt message on her Instagram page, expressing how much he loved him, "I hope you knew how much I love you... how much I miss you. And even how I forget you’re gone. It’s almost a year later and I still have to remind myself that you’re no longer here," reads her post.

Celebrities and her fans flooded her comments section with messages of comfort.

Pearl Thusi recently celebrated her 32nd birthday and it was a bittersweet one. She posted an Instagram story and said it would be her first birthday without her father around.

The actress kept the passing of her father private. In March she left her fans concerned when she went MIA on her social media platforms. This is after she deactivated her social media platforms without warning. At the time her best friend DJ Zinhle sent her a very cryptic message wishing her well.

Fans were left deer in the headlights on what was happening but her birthday Instagram story revealed that she had lost her father and she was in mourning. Pearl is currently a book and busy girl, as she will apparently appear in the 2nd season of Netflix’s martial arts series, Wu Assassins, if Phil Mphela's report is anything to go by.

The star-studded series is shot in Thailand, and that is where Pearl is currently. "Pearl Thusi joins another international series. Thusi is starring in the 2nd a format change to being a two-part movie. Production is currently shooting season of Netflix’s martial arts series, Wu Assassins. 2nd season reportedly has in Thailand," wrote Phil

Pearl has been doing some martial arts training as she is gearing up for her role. She took to Instagram to share a video captioned.

"Living a dream...Usually when I go to bed, muscles aching and bones shaking- I count every blessing. As a kid I played with the boys- and only played physical games with the girls... loved action movies. Today I get paid to look like I can actually fight, but I actually just found new ways to play with the boys and girls who like to play like me. Girls like @jujuchanszeto who are faster and stronger than me!"

"Thanks to the boys who teach me and let me pretend to beat them up - and thank you for the people who give me the opportunity to continue making the child in me happy and seen."
