Successful DJ Prince Kaybee also reached out to the woman condemning the blatant act of Gender Based Violence. The DJ commented on the video itself, writing: "My other concern is that there’s other Themba’s out there who never make it to social media, that do this on a regular, I think about that a lot!"
The video in question is of a very sensitive nature, therefore cannot be shown.
After the social media uproar, the woman then decided to post another asking people to back off, including Prince Kaybee!
"I would like to apologise for my opinion about the ladies abusive r/ship, it might have made her situation worse but I hope and pray she finds the strength to help herself leave. I’m aware the abuser is using the abused to scare help away, MEN WE DONT BEHAVE LIKE THIS!" he wrote.
Activists such as Ntsiki Mazwai applauded Kaybee for using his platform to spread awareness, "It's important that we commend Prince Kaybee for using his platform to be a voice for an abused woman and GBV. These dogs must know they don't have a bro code to protect them."
Soon after this video trended, Babes Wodumo also started to trend because tweeps believe she was also in a similar situation with her lover Mampintsha.
A few years back, the Wololo hitmaker shared a video in which her on-and-off lover, Mampintsha, is seen hitting her.
The video was first seen on Instagram Live where Babes Wodumo's account was broadcasting from what appeared to be a hotel room. After an altercation with Mampintsha in which he accuses her of cheating, Babes Wodumo hits back in anger and says that to Mampintsha "Ungjwayela Ama***ba" (you're seriously disrespecting me.)
Shimora proceeded to strike Babes Wodumo several times as she whimpered in pain. The couple had tried to defend each other, but that was after they had pressed charges against each other.
After being released on bail, Mampintsha later laid a counter charge of assault against Babes and offered up a "tell all" version of his side of the viral video on uKhozi FM after being released on bail. Mampintsha admitted to hitting Babes and alleged that she also beat him. It was a mess!
After this happened, Babes told the people who were concerned about her to mind their own business
