Simphiwe Dana is feeling the pinch of her hefty electricity bill after having to pay more than R 7000 towards keeping her lights on.
Taking to Twitter, Simphiwe asked if it was normal to be paying so much money towards electricity. Some tweeps felt Simphiwe's pain as she was basically paying a salary towards keeping the lights on in her home and gave her advice on how to tackle the matter.
After paying the hefty 8k towards the bill, Simphiwe was left quite broke and felt rather bullied bu the City of Joburg but she had to pay the bill because she can't afford to have her electricity turned off in the middle of a pandemic.
Simphiwe has been vocal about financials being tough during the lockdown, she was even over the moon when she received her royalties payment, from the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO).
The songstress said that she will be looking into the matter over her hefty electricity bill as she is tired of the disrespect.
