For Ntsiki Mazwai, the fact that Somizi Mhlongo returned to Idols SA and Unathi Nkayi got fired does not sit well with her.

To take you back, Somizi Mhlongo got suspended from Idols SA after audio from Living The Dream with Somizi diary sessions got leaked. In the audio, his estranged husband Mohale Motaung alleged that Somizi used to abuse him. Somizi lost out on various streams of income including his judging job with Idols SA.

There was quite the uproar with fans threatening to stop watching the singing competition, and the dwindling numbers were proof of that.

But a few months back when Idols SA returned to its 18th season, there were mixed reactions when Somizi returned with Thembi Seete and JR Bogopa as the new judges. Shock arouse when it was announced that Unathi Nkayi and Randall Abrahams got fired.

Now, Ntsiki Mazwai still finds it mind-boggling that this happened to Unathi when Somizi is the alleged convicted sex offender.

“Isn't it funny how Unathi was fired from @dstv Pop Idols for her false allegations but Somizi kept the job when he has a real conviction? Please balance me about the lady who is head of programming at Dstv. Is she targeting only women? Is she the patriarchy gatekeeper?” asked the poet.

Somizi is also on the cover of TrueLove magazine with the mother of his child Palesa Madisakwane and Bahumi Mhlongo. People are angered at the fact that Somizi still gets these jobs and even a reality show.

Ntsiki even took aim at the TrueLove editor and said she poses herself as an activist for gender-based violence but is still "protecting" Somizi, "If you used to come to my GBV and rape spaces you will know that the editor of @TrueLoveMag used to make the loudest noise and come prepared with essays...So her suddenly having a problem with my brand of Activism because she wants to protect Somizi is interesting for me."

Somizi recently made headlines for apparently owing SARS R3.5 million in taxes. According to Sunday World the taxman auctioned his expensive furniture and that includes “A Samsung washing machine, a white sculpture (Guman Head), Le Creuset bowl, three plastic bar chairs, two red human statues, a Hisense television set with a remote, a smeg dishwasher, two brass painted coffee tables, one Carrol Boyes knife set with stand, a Carrol Boyes bowl, five various Le Creuset pots, a Gold Air gas heater, a DeLonghi oil heater, a Samsung fridge, a silver kitchen bowl, three glass vases, eight cushions, a sleeper couch, a wooden TV stand with drawers, dining chairs and a table and knife set with stand.”
