In case you didn’t know, Somizi is not about drugs. Nope, don’t even try to come into his presence with that.
The media personality mentioned this, with great emphasis on his Metro FM breakfast show. This was during an interview with singer Vusi Nova. The award-winning musician had a chat with the Fresh Breakfast team about his career and the ups and downs he’s had in his life, including a drug problem.
While he was speaking about the topic of drugs, Somizi had this to share: “I’ve always made it clear with all my friends – I’ve heard that some of my friends took cocaine and stuff, but I’ve never seen them. That’s why I would always say in my eyes I would never confirm anything until I see it.”
The reality TV star, who is a close friend of Vusi’s continued: “I’ve always made it clear, I think I’ve also said it to you [Vusi] that my deal breaker is drugs, in every relationship. So, I think they get scared and then they start hiding from me.”
Vusi explained that his drug problem got worse after his mother passed away, “I used drugs to sort of forget what was happening in my life at the time."
As they say, every cloud has a silver lining. Vusi shared that he’s been clean for 13 years.
