King Tha is one of the most legendary icons for the culture so it comes as no surprise that early bird tickets were sold out within two days. Fetish is set to be a sound clash of note between King Tha x the BLK JKS. They will be accompanied by a hot line-up of DJs.

"Fetish denotes an obsession and it evokes another part of our psyche, a part that is, in fact, very creative. But really, it’s about my obsession with music and experimenting. So throw away your inhibitions and expectations and be prepared for many sexy musical surprises," said the musician in her interview with Africa.com.

Creating safe spaces is nothing new for Thandiswa. In celebration of her 42nd birthday she hosted King Tha Day which was about womxn owning their time and space. It was a womxn-only event and no cismen were allowed.

King Tha made it very clear that the party is LGBTQi+ friendly and that no homophobia, hate or nonsense will be tolerated. Instead it will be a celebration of music and a catalyst for fun and freedom.

"I am looking forward to seeing what the legendary children will be wearing as we dance the night away"
enthused the musician.

The party will take place at Newtown Music Factory on Friday the 26th of April. Standard tickets are available at quicket.com for R250.00
