Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela revealed that Thuli P unexpectedly got axed from the series, where she plays Lerato, because she went missing in action (MIA.)
"The role of Lerato on #TheWifeShowmax, has unexpectedly been written out of the show. Sources claim the decision was made to drop the role due to Phongolo going M.I.A," reported Phil Mphela.
Viewers are pleased that she got axed because many are slamming her acting skills saying they are dismal. Phil defended Thuli and said she might be other things but a bad actress is not one of them.
When the series premiered, Thuli was especially excited about her character saying she is glad people would get to experience her, “I’m glad you guys have finally met Lerato! What a job she is, oh but I love her! You just never see her coming because she hides her layers well, but everything she does, she does with intent ... things get quite interesting!”
“Happy to be a part of the phenomenon that’s Hlomu: The Wife, enjoying the cast so much! An original, a love story with a twist,” she added.
Despite speaking positively about the series, Thuli still got written off. She complimented the cast for being the best ever, “The support we give each other on ‘Hlomu’ is heartwarming! Thoroughly enjoying working with these formidable actors! My goodness.”
The news has gone out there but Thuli is not bothered, as she responded to a fan who said they love Lerato.
Thuli had asked people to put some respect on her name because she stays winning. "3 running campaigns, 2 productions (acting gigs), DJ gigs back-to-back, music on the way, YT soon (mixes and all) and 2 major contracts under my company."
"I wish I could send GOD flowers, give him half of everything or something! Gratitude does not seem enough for the amount of blessings he’s pouring into my life!" she tweeted.
She stars in another production called I Am Sofia.
Speaking of The Wife, Abdul Khoza is getting his flowers from viewers who think he as exceptional acting skills.
People are saying his brother SK Khoza, could learn a thing or two from him about professionalism seeing how his name has been dragged into the mud for a very long time.
SK admitted to being abusive to Ayanda and said he was owning up to his actions. “Keeping things that break your spirit and hurt you inside is not always a good thing. I have come to realize that I have done so and I ended up not realizing that I was taking it out on my fiancé @Ayearndar whenever I do talk about what is affecting me I would not address it in a calm manner, and in turn, I didn’t see that I was hurting her and in a way, I was being emotionally abusive towards her.
“She has made me understand that just because I don’t physically abuse her, I was doing so with my words and I want to speak out and say I am sorry I didn’t address my problems and allowed them to overpower me. Emotional abuse is really not good, especially because it breaks the other person in a serious way. I am now working on myself and I am committed to opening up, communicating more, and talking about the things that affect me. I am working on being a better person and partner,” wrote SK.
