Earlier today, Trevor Gumbi confirmed the dates for the comedy tour that he and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Lucille referred to in that statement they released with regards to the announcement about their impending divorce.
According to an official statement from Gumbi's camp, "his new one man show titled ‘Divorce Tour’ brought to you by Comedy Central, is the modern day love story which tells the tale of a 37 year old recovering addict and father, who, in a short space of time, has battled drug addiction, found love, created life, filed for bankruptcy, won it all and lost it all before the age of 35. A story not many people know, but can relate to."
The country's current divorce stats as well as our generation's views on the subject have created an environment that allows Gumbi to discuss this previously ‘taboo’ subject so openly.
Among the topics that will be discussed are Gumbi's re-entry into life as a bachelor as well as ‘what is left of life?’, ‘what is there still to be done?’ and ‘are there any experiences still to be had?’
Lucille also shared the poster for the tour which had people dubbing their announcement a publicity stunt.
But PR maven and a close personal friend of Lucille's, Farah Fortune, shut that down QUICK. Take a look:
Yikes! Everybody knows not to mess with a bull buddy - you'll get the horns.
The first leg of the ‘Divorce Tour’ will take place on Saturday, 4 November 2017 at The Globe, Silverstar Casino, Johannesburg, with supporting act, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane.
Tickets range between R185 – R200 and can be purchased from Computicket , the show will continue in 2018 making its way to different cities across South Africa which will be announced at a later stage.
