Here in Mzansi, we pride ourselves in our African heritage. From the color of our skin to the language we speak, it is a pleasing sight to see how beautifully we have grown throughout the years. And when it comes to rocking our traditional attires, there is no better way of representing what we most hold dear.

Our favourite celebrities have definitely not disappointed when it comes to representing their African roots and we love to see it. Here’s a list of some of our favourite traditional looks from our female zalebs.

Unathi Nkayi

At the top of the list is this beautiful African queen who has on countless occasions set the internet ablaze with her absolutely raunchy body as well as her well put together looks. And when it comes to going all African, sis can get it!

Just recently, the radio presenter took to her Instagram to share a photo that had us drooling at how gorgeous she was looking in an all African inspired outfit. She is the true definition of an African queen. Here are some of our favourite outfits from Unathi.

Minnie Dlamini

Following closely is media personality Minnie Dlamini who also takes the win when it comes to rocking a traditionally inspired outfit. Not long ago when she was still pregnant with her son, she impressed our hearts with a well coordinated African attire that had us wowing!

Unathi and Minnie who have been besties for quite some time now, have always collaborated on African fashion and they are definitely a sight to behold. Now this is the friendship goals we all dream and want.

Ayanda Borotho

There is no denying that Ayanda has kept us glued on our screens on several occasions with her dope acting skills. What warms our hearts even more, is to see how well she has embraced the African goddess that she is.

My personal favorite is this particular look over here that just leaves us staring and in absolute love. And can we talk about this magnificent crown she is adorning! No one does it like she does.

Lalela Mswane

Our Miss SA 2021 is not just a queen on the outside, but very much on the inside as well and we are here for it. On several occasions, Lalela has set our timelines on fire with the many looks and outfits that were literally tailored for her beautiful and elegant body.

Not too long ago on Heritage Day, she did not disappoint with her traditional outfit. It was simple but very much elegant and we cannot wait to see what she will be adorning this year.

Zozibini Tunzi

There is no spelling African goddess without mentioning Zozi. The Miss Universe 2019 can definitely rock anything and make it look amazing. An adjust with her traditional and culture inspired looks, there is no denying that she understands the assignment when it comes to showing up and showing out.

Nomzamo Mbatha

Zamo was never going to miss on this list. The actress can most definitely rock a traditional outfit like the boss that she is and we love to see it. Just recently, she took to her Instagram to post a photo of her wearing a beautiful African dress from Rwanda and sis is killing it!

This is not the first time Zamo has impressed us with her sense of style and fashion and fans agree that she is the epitome of beauty itself.

Shudufhadzo Musida

Yet another queen making it on the list is Shudu who has embodied an African goddess even before she took on the crown as Miss SA 2020. One of my personal favourites is this simple yet very well coordinated african dress with a beaded bust and the ankara tail end of her bodycon dress.

And while many may have never understood why she decided to go bald, there is no denying that it was one of the boldest decisions she ever made and we love how well it is turning out for her.

These are just but a few of our most favorite African inspired looks that remain unforgettable. Which if them takes the win from them all?
