Season 8 of Uzalo ushers in a new era of gripping action, jaw-dropping drama, and thrilling cliff-hangers. Mzansi is set to meet a remarkable new ensemble cast that will keep them glued to their TV screens.
The Uzalo world will be turned upside down as the notorious Nkunzi finally meets his match in the Magwaza family. The family matriarch Njinji, played by the formidable Thembi Nyandeni, is a ruthless wolf in sheep’s clothing. This dynamic will showcase a compelling power display that will shake the whole Kwamashu community.
Njinji enters the world with her daughter, Nomaswazi Magwaza, played by the talented Omuhle Gela. Nomaswazi is a beautiful, smart, and conniving woman that moves stealthily, much like her mother. Alongside her is her cousin Vikizitha Magwaza, played by the revered Siyabonga Radebe. Vika enters the world as a charming and lethal criminal with his eyes fixed on Nkunzi’s throne. The last of Njinji’s army is Simon Nsimbi, the Magwaza’s right hand man and voice of reason, played by the renowned Ronald Mkhwanazi.
The police force welcomes Constable Biyela, played by the gifted Thabisile Zikhali, an honest and well-educated woman determined to keep the department on the straight and narrow. Alongside her is Flavia, played by the talented Sthembile Mhlongo, a focused and independent career woman.
Love is in the air in Kwamashu as viewers are introduced to the beautiful and intelligent Amahle Sishi, played by the brilliant Hope Mbhele, who enters the Uzalo world as a fun and liberal woman that captures the attention of Lilly. The gifted Sandile Mfusi enters KwaMashu as a driven and charming Kwanda that woos Nonka into his attractive web, concealing his ulterior motives.

Uzalo has been working hard to introduce new faces to the show and improve it's storyline. Viewers almost had a heart attack when MaMlambo announced that she was going home for a while. Viewers thought she had left the show but she recently announced that she is pregnant.
Taking to her Instagram account, she penned a lengthy letter to unborn baby. "My baby, you are your grandmother’s answered prayer. She was so excited to meet you; even though you did not get to meet in the physical realm, I know she is currently holding you in the spiritual. My darling, every move and every kick of yours within me is a testament of both God and my mother’s continued love for me. You have changed me in ways that are inexplicable. We cannot wait to meet you." Fans and colleagues have flooded her comment section with messages of congratulations.
