South Africa's multi-talented TV actor and producer Kagiso Modupe, is ready to fly the SA film industry's flag high abroad. This follows after his hit film Losing Lerato has bagged 6 nods at the prestigious Idyllwild Cinema Festival in California.
Losing Lerato is a film which tells a story of a father who is recently divorced and is denied time spent with his daughter. Desperate, he kidnaps her at school but is faced with a predicament when held hostage in a bus.
The film scored 6 nods including one for best-supporting actress, best cinematography and best actor. The festival is set to take place on the 9th March, in California. It is dedicated to showcasing studio and independent films from across the globe and to help creatives to network and build great working relationships.
Kagiso expressed his excitement on social media- in a tweet he said " I'm excited and honoured to announce to that Losing Lerato has been nominated and will be screening at the Idly Fest in Palm Springs, California next month. Please join me in congratulating the following fine cast and crew for their nominations"

Losing Lerato was funded by Kagiso and his wife and it has now grossed over R4.1-million. Modupe was recently hailed for paying the cast and crew of the film royalties which is not common in the film industry.
