Kay Sibiya’s Netflix drama series “Agent” will be hitting our small screens on March 8.
The 13-part drama series debuted on Netflix in December and saw Sibiya playing lead as Blaze, a former professional footballer turned agent. The intriguing drama sees Slindile ‘Blaze’ Magoba becoming a soccer agent due to an injury. He explained the character as damaged and vulnerable
"He is a beautiful person, but damaged on the inside. He never takes time to fix himself. I loved playing this character and the depth of how vulnerable he is,”
Even though he did not have much time to prepare for his role, Sibiya played the agent splendidly who uncovers all the underground shenanigans that take place in the football world. Shot in Mauritius, the setting is of modern Johannesburg.
The former Uzalo actor had little time to prepare as his departure to Mauritius was within a short space of time. For someone who did not read the full script, he was praised for owning the character.
The cast includes Sisanda Henna, Pamela Nomvete, Zweli Dube, Lesego Moleko and Nigerian actor Christopher Kilembe.
