Losing a parents is one of the most painful experiences one can go through. Although life goes on, the pain never really goes away.
Actress, Motsoaledi Setumo, who plays the roles of Mmabatho on The Queen Mzansi, is going through this heartbreaking experience after the sad news of the passing of her mother.
The actress took to social media to share the devastating news with pics of herself and her mother.
While her fans and industry colleagues; the likes of Dineo Langa, Zenande Mfenyane and Omuhle Gela sent messages of condolences to the actress, she expressed the pain of not being able to take time off from work to mourn and grieve.
She wrote: "There’s a tweet where one person said she hopes I get some time off work cause I lost my mother... I wanna lol that tweet. Time off where?"
Co-actress, Rami Chuene is one of the few artists who opened up about the hardships of being in the television industry; candidly stating (under the TT #ShowMustGoOn) that the only funeral one is allowed to attend is their own.
In light of Motsoaledi's tweet, social media users expressed their anger and emphasized that new laws and policies need to be put in place for actors.
