Celtic boss Martin O’Neill says the Scottish champions have tabled a fresh contract offer for Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Super Eagles forward is currently available after his previous agreement came to an end at the close of last season, making him a free agent.
O’Neill stated: “There’s an offer to him at this minute. So we’ll see how that develops.”
At 29 years old, Iheanacho played a significant part in Celtic’s standout run, netting important goals as the club completed a domestic league and cup double.
Iheanacho has also made clear on multiple occasions that he wants to continue his career with the Glasgow side.
