The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finalized plans for a three-day training and capacity-building programme aimed at women’s football administrators across Nigeria, with the initiative being supported through the world governing body FIFA.

A total of six facilitators will lead sessions for participants during the programme, which runs from 17th to 19th July in Abuja.
The NFF has selected four of the facilitators, while two are appointed directly by FIFA. Together, they will deliver presentation materials and guidance throughout the three-day event.
Facilitators announced
FIFA’s appointed experts for the programme are Thubaelihle Sibanda and Setlhoko Tsholofelo Candy, both working as technical specialists in women’s football.
Joining them from Nigeria will be:
- Ms Aisha Falode, a Member of the NFF Executive Committee, a Member of the FIFA Media Committee, and also a FIFA/CAF Match Commissioner.
- Professor Mariam Suleiman of Ahmadu Bello University.
- Dr Anthonia Chinyere Uwa, a retired chief lecturer from Nwafor Orizu College of Education in Nsugbe, Anambra State.
- Mr Mohammed Ameenu, a former National League referee who is also a FIFA-trained technical instructor and a FIFA-certified safeguarding officer. He additionally serves as special assistant to the NFF General Secretary.
Coordination by NFF competitions director
The programme is being coordinated by the NFF’s Director of Competitions, Ruth David, who is also a FIFA/CAF Match Commissioner.
