Despite being behind some of 2017's biggest celebrity events, she does not want to be known as a celebrity party planner... Which is surprising when you first hear it but becomes more understandable once you find out her reasons for this.
Precious Tumisho Thamaga has had an arduous and interesting journey to get where she is and she never wants the clients who brought her to this point to think her services are inaccessible just because she also has celebrity clients.
Her journey sort of began when she dropped out of college (while studying towards a diploma in travel and tourism) in order to ensure her parents could afford to pay for the rest of her sister's fees. She started out as a receptionist at various organizations and worked her way up - ensuring at every step of the way that she found employers who were willing for her to further her education.
Once she got a job at Sun International, she segued into a career in PR and later made her way back into travel and tourism, all the while working to further her education, this time in events management. During one of her many jobs, she encountered a life coach who made her realize what she wanted to so and shortly thereafter, Precious Celebrations was born (in 2010).
She has since gone from doing free events to some of the biggest celebrity events in the business. Just check out a few of the events she has been responsible for:
