A matter which took a turn for the better when it was reported that he had visited the family privately ahead of jetting off to the US during the week of mourning for the late icon. However, with the recent confirmation of the untimely passing of rapper and dancer Costa Titch, it seems that the trolls have returned as they accused Cassper of making his passing about him.
Specifically, this was the narrative when Costa opted to do a joint album with AKA back in 2021 titled You’re Welcome. The perception was that Costa had chosen camps by doing the album with AKA instead of Cassper, who arguably gave him the “in” in terms of the music industry.
As such, when Cassper took to Twitter to finally pay his respects to Costa Titch’s family, he then took to Twitter to answer some questions. One, in particular, was the video of Costa during his dancing days, which was captioned with a question directed to Cassper to confirm whether the dancer in the low-quality video was actually the Big Flexa hitmaker.
Cassper answered the question in the affirmative confirming that the man was indeed Costa when he was still his backup dancer. His wording is what led him into trouble as the comment then suggested that he was making the passing of the young musician about himself.

im not fighting but costa once said cassper broke sa hip hop, im not fighting but i understand why there would be no love lost, they were never close like that, the one time they interacted as i guess colleagues was because of conflict, not everyone can put such behind them
This is not the first time that Cassper has been accused of the same thing recently. This is as in 2022 when the death of DJ Sumbody was announced, Cassper received the same backlash. More so, following his appearance at DJ Sumbody’s memorial, as reported at the time:
Friends, family, and colleagues of late amapiano pioneer and businessman Oupa John Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody, gathered at a memorial service to pay tribute to him this morning.
The 38-year-old DJ was murdered in the early hours of Sunday 20 November in Woodmead, while he was traveling to a gig. His tragic passing has sent shockwaves across the country, and his passing will take time for those who knew him to come to terms with the loss.
Sadness could be felt through the small screens as numerous speakers remembered him and paid tribute to him. His close friend, Cassper Nyovest, fought back tears as he paid tribute to him.
Cassper recalled the first time he met DJ Sumbody "Me and DJ Sumbody met a long time ago. I don't know who he took my number from. However, when he was on the radio he would call me every week to give me an interview without telling me anything before. I would answer thinking it was just a call, and he would be like "you are life on air, you see we are supporting you" and that is how our relationship started. How we became close friends with him is a funny story," he said.
