The Wife actor Stoan Seate is getting dragged for his comments about the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) National Shutdown. He took to Twitter to say F*ck EFF and opened the floor to an army of angry South African who unleashed every insult they can think of.
While Stoan might have been acting unbothered on social media in light of the ongoing backlash over his sentiments, it seems that he might have to deal with in-house drama too.
Did Stoan and Thandiswa Mazwai’s daughter shade her father?
Malaika Mazwai is the daughter of Thandiswa Mazwai and Stoan Seate. The two had her before their initial split back in the beginning of the 2000s. The last time that Malaika was seen publicly was when she shared a stage with her mother as she delivered the manifesto of the ANC before it became the ANC we all know now.
However, Malaika is now all grown up as she is a 22-year-old pansexual looking to create her own career and identity outside that of her parents. As such, when the matter of her father tweeting, “f*ck EFF,” and that her mother was implicated due to the fact.
Malaika seemed to make it clear which side she was choosing. This is as there has been a circulated screenshot of Malaika shading her father. This is as her Twitter account is private, therefore not making it easy to gain access to the young personality.
But in light of the backlash, Malaika then took to Twitter to set the record straight. In a length thread she explained that she was merely joking and that she and Stoan have a loving father-daughter relationship.
But while she might have set the record straight. It seems it was too late as Stoan had already tried to explain himself and his tweet. As reported:

As Stoan was getting cooked on social media for his lack of impactful music, his alleged corrupt affiliation with the ruling party, and his failed relationship with Thandiswa Mazwai. It seems that as much as he stated that he was unbothered. It does seem that the backlash did get to him.
This is as he took to Twitter to share a video explaining why he tweeted what he tweeted. In the lengthy video, Stoan explains himself by sharing that:
“Ba nthoga, ba nthoga byanong [they are swearing at me, they are swearing at me] like I’m not supposed to have an opinion. A politically intolerant condition. Bo Sol Phenduka bari I’m getting cooked, cooked by who osa faga bitsa yami [who has done nothing for me]?... Others mentioning characters I’ve played, I mean god damn bro, try something harder!”
Stoan then explains that his sentiments were due to his belief that the EFF does not care about the populace, but instead that they are politicians that are politicking. He goes on to suggest that national executive members of the EFF have in the past endorsed abusers and corruption despite their public displays of concern for the general public.
