DJ Zinhle Fetches Asante From Hospital Ahead “Mass Country” Release

DJ Zinhle continues to prove just how strong of a woman she is through her social media platforms. In the past two weeks, she has had to deal with the passing of Hip-Hop legend and father of her eldest daughter, Kiernan Jarryd “AKA” Forbes, after he was assassinated on Friday, 11 February 2023.

Following his assassination, it was the planning and subsequent hosting of the memorial and funeral service. A time that DJ ZInhle seemed to have spent not only supporting the Forbes family. But also defended her husband as it was believed that the manner she was mourning suggested that she still had romantic feelings towards AKA.

As the country started healing from the passing of AKA following his burial this past weekend. DJ Zinhle revealed that this week was just as heavy for her as she faced an in-house medical scare with one of her children.

DJ Zinhle youngest daughter is Asante Mohosana who she shares with her husband and fellow producer-DJ Bongani “Murdah Bongz or Morda” Mohosana. In the previous week, DJ Zinhle had shared a number of stories which featured Asante at home with her, even some this week.

However, the DJ in a surprising post took to her Instagram stories to reveal that since Monday, 20 February 2023, Asante was admitted to the hospital and that her husband has been consoling her every night as she left the hospital in tears.

DJ Zinhle, then thanked her best friend, Pearl Thusi’s daughter, Thandolwethu Mokeona for being a pillar of support when it comes to Asante this past week as she has been taking care of her as she was away working.

This was all before, the Forbes, the Mohosanas, and the music world all met for the listening session for AKA’s last album Mass Country.

However, this is not the first time that Thando has been the model big sister to one of DJ Zinhle’s daughters. This is as ZInhle and Pearl have formed such a sisterhood that their children have grown up more as siblings or cousins than anything else. As reported at the time:

With everyone crying their eyes out during Kiernan Jarryd Forbes’ memorial service, Thando Mokoena, the daughter of Pearl Thusi, went above and beyond to comfort Kairo Forbes. AKA and DJ Zinhle’s daughter Kairo broke many people’s hearts when images of her crying made rounds. What stood out though, was the love and comfort Thando gave both Kairo and her mother Zinhle, not only them but she also comforted AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes.

DJ Zinhle took to her Instagram stories to thank Pearl Thusi for raising Thando the way she did. Thando is Pearl and Walter Mokoena’s daughter and she is turning 15 this year.
On Instagram, Zinhle wrote, “My baby Thando Mokoena. Thank you Pearl Thusi, she really took care of Kairo.”

At the memorial, Thando went out of her way to make Kairo smile and laugh and have a good time. When Anatii performed on stage as a tribute to his friend and colleague, Thando lead the group of kids to dance and have a good time.
