DJ Zinhle Supports Husband Bongani After AKA's Funeral Announcement

Seems that Bongani will not be attending the funeral or memorial.

Fans of the late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes have finally been told when they can pay their final respects to the slain rapper. This is as his body has finally arrived back in Johannesburg as it was confirmed earlier today and his friends and fellow ZAlebs were seen arriving at his Bryanston residency to bid their final farewells.

This was ahead of the formal announcement of the details surrounding his memorial service and funeral which are set to take place on Friday, 17 February 2023, and the funeral on Saturday, 18 February 2023. While the public was focussed on the news, it was an extract from the announcement which polarised many social media users and the public.

DJ ZInhle has been a pillar to the Forbes family since the news was confirmed that AKA was late. As reported during the events of the following day: 

While it seems that men of the Forbes family are currently in Durban in an attempt to find answers. DJ Zinhle, who shares daughter Kairo Forbes with AKA, seems to have taken the helm in Johannesburg as plans need to be made in terms of the funeral arrangements and memorial service.

DJ Zinhle arriving with “brother” Oskido were seen arriving at AKA’s Johannesburg complex. But more than just DJ Zinhe, her brothers, sisters and the Era by DJ ZInhle team were all recorded arriving at AKA’s private residency. Other ZAlebs include Kabelo Mabalane.

As such, it is assumed that DJ Zinhle is currently helping the Forbes family deal with the arrangements. This is as DJ ZInhle and AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, have always had a strong relationship since DJ Zinhle was pregnant with Kairo [as] Lynn or Glammy stayed with Zinhle during the first few years of Kairo’s birth.

As Zinhle has been supportive and many have charged her husband, Bongani “Morda” Mohosana with being a supportive father figure to Kairo Forbes, it seems that he will not be attending the funeral. This is as the statement attributed the fact to “observing cultural protocol.”
But it seems that Zinhle was ahead of the headlines the story was going to make. This is as she took to social media to share a touching image of herself with her husband. It seems that she wanted to assert that she is happy with her husband despite how involved she has been with the funeral and memorial arrangements of her ex and father of her eldest daughter. 
One aspect that is interesting is that Morda will not be in attendance. Nadia Nakai, who was taken just his girlfriend, will be attending the funeral. Since reportedly being rushed out of a birthday party on the day that it was announced that AKA was no more. It seems that the memorial will mark the first public appearance that Nadia makes as she has gone completely off the radar since the news became public. 
The rapper has not even shared her dedication post, as many other friends and family of the rapper have done in the past few days.
