Coupled with great looks, youth, and a sizzling hot show titled Tshisa Mbali Mlotshwa and Bongani Masondo were the couple to admire on TV.
They stepped into the scene as the new kids on the block, having never seen them before on any other TV shows Mbali Mlotshwa and Bongani Masondo were a breath of fresh air, not to forget very good looking actors who introduced us to the hit youth drama series Tshisa.
For those who don't remember Tshisa it was like a sort-of spin-off version of Yizo Yizo, it even had former Yizo Yizo actor, Innocent Masuku aka Bakstina acting in it, remember him?
Watching Mbali Mlotshwa and Bongani Masondo's chemistry on Tshisa was such a pleasure to watch, it's just a pity Tshisa doesn't air on TV anymore but we at least get to watch all two seasons of the show by downloading Tshisa for free on ShowMax, you could too by signing up for their free 14-day trial.
We can clearly remember the first episode and how much of a cute guy Bongani Masondo was with his afro and "innocent" boy next-door looks. Little did we know that Bongani aka Bafana would change into one troubled drug addict.
Just look at that afro, at least we have two whole seasons to binge on, on ShowMax to appreciate how much of a fine young man Bongani was on Tshisa.
Then there was the adorable and much younger Mbali Mlotshwa, way before Rockville, way before she became a mother of two and way before she became Mrs Black Coffee.
It's quite uncanny how much her son Anesu looks like her in this picture, maybe one day he'll walk in his mother's footsteps and become an actor himself.
Everytime Bongani and Mbali appeared on screen together, we secretly wished they were actually dating in real life, guess our fantasies will forever live on by us simply watching Tshisa on ShowMax
Come to think of it Tshisa had a lot of actors we don't see on TV anymore such as the likes of Luclay Misoya and Chichi Letswalo.
Have they retired from acting or something and whatever happened to Zukisa Matola who played the character of Ayanda on the show? last time we checked she had given birth to a beautiful baby girl in 2010 and retired from acting.
You can view all two seasons of Tshisa on Showmax by simply signing up for their 14-day trial for free.
Just a tip, we're kind of stingy with our data, so after signing up you can download the series in a Wi-Fi free zone and binge-watch Tshisa even on your smart phone, or even put that free Wi-Fi at work to good use too.
You can even view the hit drama series, Ubizo - The calling on ShowMax too.
If ShowMax can just convince producers to work on a third season of Tshisa and a second season of Ubizo that would be awesome.
