SA Idols: It's a top 11 not a top 10 competition

The decision was made after M-Net and Mzansi Magic realised there was a communication error on their TV application on DSTV. For those who don’t have a clue what we’re on about, it's basically that place where you go when you press “Ok” on your decoder’s remote control when voting.

“Due to a technical error which has been investigated and rectified, photographs of Vincent Verhoog and Ivan Roux (Idols SA Top 16 Group 1 performers) were inadvertently switched on the contestant information voting pages of the application. When you clicked on Vincent's photograph Ivan's voting details appeared, while Ivan's photograph was linked to Vincent's voting details.” – the statement read.

Due to this error M-Net and the auditing company behind Idols, Deloitte & Touche, found that it would only be fair to put through both contestants to the next round. Whilst we definitely know now that Vincent and Ivan will be in the top 11, SA Idols will only reveal the other names next week Sunday. Oh the wait is already killing us!

Who else do you think will take the remaining nine slots? Leave us your thoughts in the comments section!
