This Saturday marks yet another special weekend for South African musicians as we witness the hardest working musicians get rewarded for their hard work throughout 2018/2019.
Here are our predictions of who we think is going to take an award or two, home, for some of these popular categories.
Best Produced Album - Nasty C's - Strings & Bling

Nasty C's second offering is certified platinum, while his leading singles King is 3x platinum while Jungle is 2x platinum, Nasty C has seen a lot of commercial success with this project which has seen him do not only local but international collaborations as well.
Music Video of the Year - Sho Madjozi, Huku

Not only a hit but Sho Madjozi and her team made sure that the visuals for this song were just as compelling, we loved every aspect of the Huku video. The electrifying energy and the dance moves from this video is the type of content we'd love to see.
Collaboration of the year - Dj Sumbody for Monate Mpolaye ft. Cassper Nyovest, Thebe and Vettis.

Late last year, a party wouldn't end without this song blasting out the speakers. In fact, #MonateMpolaye was the December anthem, and you knew the festive season was in full effect when this song dropped.
Remix of the Year - Prince Kaybee for Club Controller

This was a difficult prediction, but that Club Controller remix went in! Even the late HHP freestyled to the instrumental of this song and it sounded amazing.
Best Kwaito/Gqom/Amapiano - DJ Maphorisa for Gqom Wave Vol.2

This was yet another tough prediction, especially considering that the likes of Busiswa, & Distruction Boyz are in this category as well. But we're confident that Maphorisa might just walk away with this one.
Best R&B/Soul Album - Kabomo for All Things Red

We'd love to see Kabomo walk away with this one. He's one very talented musician, and he's been in the game for a minute now.
Best African Adult Contemporary Album - Anatii for IYEZA
Instagram embed
No need for explanations, Anatii put his heart and soul into this album and we've listened to the entire album, so yeah, we're a bit biased on this one.
Best Dance Album - Sun-El Musician for Africa To The World
Instagram embed
Now certified platinum, Sun - El Musician's debut album contains back to back hits, it is one of those albums you just keep on playing without skipping a track. Although Sun El is competing against heavyweights such as the likes of Black Coffee, we have a good feeling he may just walk away with this one.
Best Hip Hop Album - AKA's Touch My Blood or Nasty C's Strings & Bling or

This is yet a tough category to make a prediction on, but these two are our best bet.
Best Afro Pop Album - Mlindo The Vocalist for Emakhaya or Sjava for Umqhele.
Instagram embed
This is yet another difficult prediction, yet Mlindo, just like Sjava has had a great run with his debut album. However, we would also love to see Simmy walk away with the award for this category for her debut album - Tugela Fairy
Newcomer of the Year - Simmy for Tugela Fairy or Mlindo The Vocalist for Emakhaya.

Simmy has the potential of also walking away with this album, but we have a feeling that Mlindo might just also take it. Both were a favourite amongst South Africans.
Album of the Year - Black Motion for Moya Wa Taola

We might be dragged for this, but hey it's our prediction after all.
Female Artist of the Year - Busiswa for Summer Life
Instagram embed
Yep, Busiswa might just walk away with this one, and she has had so many great singles and features in the past two years. She deserves it.
Male Artist of the Year - Sjava for Umqhele

He's a favourite amongst a lot of South Africans who either do or don't listen to his type of music, but Sjava has that thing that makes people gravitate to him more.
What do you think of our winner's prediction list? Are we on the mark or way off the mark?
