Flamboyant

Quite ironic when you think about it as actor - Themba Ndaba who now plays the role of Uncle Brutus - a stingy, hard-headed and homophobic man on Mzansi Magic's The Queen.

Back in the 90's there was a comedy series on SABC 1 called Streaks which focused on a particular salon and it's hilarious hairdressers. One of the hairdressers was a gay man who was played by Themba Ndaba. We vividly remember his glossy lips, bleached hair and how he always wore a silky feminine scarf around his neck, although the show was hilarious back then, we would probably cringe if we watched it today.

For a while, we could not find a clip or even picture of Themba Ndaba's flamboyant character but thanks to the internet we managed to find some material of Uncle Brutas back in the day.

Shout out to Luvuyo Jongile for sharing this clip of Uncle Brutus on Facebook.

Quite hilarious!

Did you also know that Siyabonga Twala also acted on Streaks?
