If you didn’t know that One Direction was headed to South Africa later this month for their 3 -day concert, then where have you been? This will be their first visit to South Africa, and you don’t want to be the only can not to attend one of the three shows!
The boys will be in Joburg on 28 and 29 March, with their concert being held at FNB Stadium and then they are off to Cape Town for a one night show on 1 April at the Cape Town Stadium (Wouldn't it be funny if the CPT show was cancelled as an April Fool's prank?)
If you’ve never had the pleasure of seeing One Direction perform live, do yourself a favor and head out to one of the concerts. Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Niall are known for doing some truly wild things during shows. Here are seven things I absolutely can't wait to see when One Direction makes their way to SA this weekend (And next week)
They’ll answer fan tweets
One thing that has become a tradition for the One Direction boys during their concerts is that they take some time out to read and answer some fan tweets on Twitter.
Girls will be crying
If you’ve ever been a fan of a boyband, then this shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. However, if this is your first time, know that there will be die-hard fans at the concert who won’t be able to control their emotion. Let’s be honest, this just adds to the ambience.
They’ll take selfies…with your camera
If you’re close enough…you might be a lucky fan who has their camera taken so the guys can take a selfie for you! Make sure you have your camera or phone ready!
They’ll show off their dance moves
Even though the boys were known for not doing dance moves during their X Factor days, you are bound to see some dancing and at times, synchronised moves happening on stage. C’mon…this is what we love about boybands!
They’ll shed some clothing
Boys will be boys…and chances are one of them will have a shirt or something ripped off while they are serenading the crowd during a solo. Not that we are complaining right?
You’ll be entertained
These guys are talented! Whether you’re a big fan or not…you know some lyrics to some of their songs or at least know the tune. The guys give it their all during a show and make sure the audience is entertained and get their money’s worth. You won’t go home feeling disappointed!
They won’t be back for a while
The SA stop over is part of their tour, so you’ve probably realized that they won’t be back for at least another year and if you’re a fan, why would you want to wait until then anyway? Make sure you’re at the show!
