AKA's fiancé met her fate in Cape Town after falling from the 10th floor at Pepper Club Hotel, where he was performing. Releasing a statement, he said her death was more of an emotional burden so he needed some time off. So his team would handle all his public engagements but now it seems he is ready to get his groove back.
Sharing the stage with him is the talented Black Motion, MiCasa, his baby mama DJ Zinhle and musical band Goodluck. Now, it has not been confirmed whether AKA was booked before the tragic incident or after. If Supa Mega needs more time to himself then it could be a possibility that he might pull out, if he was indeed booked before Nelli's passing.
Nonetheless, his fans are super excited to see their fave back in action saying this performance might just be what the doctor ordered.
Breaking his silence on the untimely passing of fiancée Anele, he said, "I have lost the love of my life...and every day feels like a mountain to climb. I miss Anele, so much and I'm heartbroken at the unfulfilled life we had planned together.”
There have been a lot of assumptions made surrounding her passing looking at the manner in which she died. AKA made it clear that such insinuations are not making it any easier for him and his families.
“The tragic loss of Anele has taken a great toll on me emotionally and psychologically. Insinuations and innuendos made on my personhood have made it even more difficult to process, and the strain our families have taken is unspeakable. Which is why at this time I choose to retreat to honour my journey, praying that the moments of stillness may bring me closer to some clarity.”
