We recently caught up with the media darling and she spoke to us about turning 30, love and Being Bonang.
Bonang has had a very successful career, we cannot think of anything she hasn't done in the entertainment industry. At just 30, she is one of the biggest brands in Africa and this is only the beginning.
Speaking of how it's like #BeingBonang she said, "I don't think about it that way, the people I surround myself with don't remind me that I am a star, it is very grounding and humbling, I am not surrounded by people who gas me up which is why I am firm and I have such a strong understanding of myself." she said.
She then went on to say that she enjoys being famous, "I am so chilled, I am very down to earth, people have created this persona about who they think I am, I have been called all sorts of names in the book and I am glad that people will finally get to see the real me on my reality show."
"People will get to see my personality and the person I really am, "nothing is going to be censored, I am going to be open about my struggles and everything I have been through. I am turning 30 and I feel very content, I feel like my life is very pure and I would like to share that with my supporters." she added
When asked about why she is shooting a reality show at this particular time in her life she said, " I feel good, I feel good about everything I have achieved, I feel comfortable in allowing people into my private life, I am generally a very private person but I feel like this is the right time, I am comfortable in sharing the lessons that I have learned throughout the 13 years I have been in the entertainment industry."
"I have gone through a lot, I have accumulated a lot of lessons throughout the journey and I just needed to make sense of them before I could share it with the world. I have taken time to deal with everything that has happened to me and I am finally ready for the world to see." she added.
Happy Birthday B*
