South African hitmaker Busiswa is ready to take her story to the big screen after it was announced this morning that her first-ever documentary will be premiering at the upcoming African Rising Film Festival.

Busiswa: An Unbreakable Story is the name of the feature and the entire documentary will be telling Busiswa's breathtaking story in high definition.

According to a press release, the film "takes us on a journey back in time and explores the complex conditions that thrust a modest young girl from Umtata into the boisterous voice that reverberates through our speakers alongside Beyonce Knowles on ‘The Gift’, in arguably one of the most important moments in modern music history."

The doccie has been touted for some time, but next week will be the first time that fans get to see it in all its glory.

Festival organiser Ayanda Sithebe spoke in glowing terms about the festival and the upcoming doccie when she said, “The focus of the Africa Rising International Film Festival this year is inclusion. With that said, we are thrilled to have a story about a powerful woman who is changing the game in more ways than one lead our opening night."

We are hoping that we will also get some more information about how she was able to get her collaboration with Beyonce in order. Busiswa, along with Moonchild, featured on Beyonce's song, My Power and the moment was seen as one of the highlights of her career so far.

Remember earlier this year when we spoke to Busiswa about how she hoped that the Beyonce Collaboration would go on to shape her career? At the time she said,

“Collaborating with Beyonce is definitely as amazing as anyone can imagine. I had several moments where I was just shedding a tear when I was just thinking of a few of the things I was experiencing. To be a part of it makes me feel like my dreams are real. I haven’t met her yet, but I think I will and I think some magical moments are about to happen throughout 2019. I look forward to every experience and I just hope to be present and enjoy the moment.

I’m even making little videos for my son and I hope he can watch them one day and understand the joy that I experienced in this whole period.”
