If there is one thing that we are proud of here in Mzansi, it has to be our music. And more often than not we have expected our artists to deliver on just that. But being the great fans that we are, we sometimes understand that the creative juices may not be flowing all the time for our dope musicians.
Still, we cannot fail to give them some much needed pressure when we miss their music. It is because of this that we have decided to come up with a list of celebrities who need to drop music this year. No pressure though guys!

Nadia Nakai
To start us off is this hotshot rapper who has time and time again had us dancing and singing along to her dope hits. The Hip Hop artist continues to be one of the most acclaimed rappers in Mzansi and there is no denying that she is always giving us magic whenever she decides to drop a beat.
The “Don’t Cut It” hitmaker released her last hitmaker in December 2021 and we still cannot get enough of it. I mean, isn’t that the reason we want more dope beats this year? And now that she has been romantically linked with AKA we can only hope that the two will serve us some much needed tunes this year.

Babes Wodumo
Next up on the list is Babes Wodumo who released her latest hitmaker way way long ago. Now we can all agree that despite the many times that she had landed in hot soup with tweeps, Babes and her husband Mampinstsha make one hell of a team and we love to see it.
Other than the Amandla single that was released just the other day, fans all over Mzansi are still wondering and waiting to see what this power couple has prepared for them. Being the mad performer that she is, you can bet that her next project will be a banger.

Jub Jub
Now the former Uyajola 9/9 presenter does not need an introduction. More so after the scandalous events that he got himself into last year. That aside though, his fans all agree that when Jub Jub decides to record a beat, he most definitely never disappoints and we are here for it.
The Ndikhokhele hitmaker released his last single in 2020 and fans are besides themselves wondering when he will be gracing our studios yet again. And if you need any proof that the media personality can actually make music, just pay a visit to his YouTube and see the kind of views he is attracting. It should be no wonder that we are craving for more.

Boity Thulo
Other than being a successful business woman and entrepreneur, Boity has also sent shockwaves across Mzansi with her music. Some of her notable hits include, Own Your Throne, Bakae and my personal favourite, Wuz Dat with Nasty C.
It was just the other day when she won big at the South African Hip Hop Awards as the best female artist. And even though the win was received with a pinch of salt by many in Mzansi, it goes without saying that Boity has mastered the art of making good music.
We can only hope that she will heed to the cry of her fans and drop us something good and hot this year. Yes please!

Busiswa Gqulu
Last but not least is this powerful songstress who has kept us waiting for way too long! Her last hit, Makazi was released in January 2021 and many are still wondering whether or not she has something new cooking.
Over the years we have seen the artist partner with some bigshots in the industry like Prince Kaybee and JazziQ which leads us to believe that she actually can deliver on good music.
Time and time again, she has stunned her followers and fans with her electrifying performances and how well she continues to outshine many in the music industry.
