DJ Zinhle has and continues to play an intricate role in helping the Forbes family heal from the death of their son, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes. While this might be puzzling for many, for Zinhle, she is holding her daughter, Kairo Forbes' hand through everything, eliminating the noise caused by trolls.

His mother, Lynn Forbes penned a heartbreaking message as she shared some of her and AKA's private messages. In January, Lynn said she was very proud of her son for becoming a good man and even better father.
AKA thanked his mother for the sweet message and said he loves her. Lynn said she is shattered that she would never get the opportunity to receive such messages ever again.
“Today is really difficult. The hardest part is that you have gone forever quiet on my phone. I miss your texts and calls so much,” she captioned her post.
DJ Zinhle commented and asked how will they ever get over this death as it hurts, “It’s unfair and it hurts so much. How will we ever accept that he is gone? God help us!”

Zinhle shared snaps of her out and about with Nadia Nakai and the Forbes family. She trended when people said she was not supposed to be there but she clapped right back saying people would have found joy in seeing her and AKA not getting along.
"I feel like a lot of people have opinions on situations they have never been in, in their lives. There is a big chance that the person who asked me about AKA has never lost someone that they are raising a child with," she said.
"Guys I'm still gonna shock people. I even joked with Nadia and said when your boyfriend comes, he must come here we are all a blended family. I don't get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never got along. Why?"
She then goes on to say, "conflict is such a heavy burden to carry."
Zinhle further angered people when she penned a message to AKA after his burial. She promised that she and Bongani will raise Kairo in a loving and warm home.
"The last time I saw you, you told me how proud you are of us and how well we were co-parenting, we had come a long way, and even though it challenged a lot of people in how well we co-parented. It was never about society or us, it was always about our daughter and what was best for her.
"We quickly learnt that our differences would not be a burden for our daughter, our past mistakes could not deprive our daughter of a happy childhood with love from both mom and dad. I am so glad we figured it out, it’s as if we knew you would not be around long enough. Thank you for loving her the way you did."
"We will continue to do what’s best for her, we will raise her in a loving environment that encourages forgiveness, one that is deeply rooted in the great spirit of being a family…over everything else. We are all responsible for her happiness now, my family and yours will pull together to make sure she is the happiest girl in the world...exactly how you always made her feel.
Good night Kiernan. You told me God is in control, I will hold on to these words as we piece together the pieces of our shattered hearts. We will comfort and love Nadia, she is family now. God bless you," wrote DJ Zinhle.
