Kehlani Rocks First Performance On The African Continent

US singer/songwriter Kehlani landed in South Africa earlier this week ahead of first performance on the African continent. She headlined one of the biggest music festivals in the country, Rocking the Daisies! Not only was this Kehlani first performance in the continent but it also marked the return of the music festival which was postponed due to the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.

The Grammy nominated, Kehlani's arrival alone made multiple headlines but her electrifying performance practically broke South African Twitter. The US singer took the stage, on day 2 of Rocking the Daises at midnight. She performed a number of popular songs including 'Nights Like This' and 'Hate The Club'.

The crowd at the festival was obsessed with Kehlani and her performance. It's safe to say she receive a lot of love from attendees of the festivals and those who caught snippets online.

Those who missed the performance and festival, definitely experienced FOMO and expressed this online too. One tweep wrote, 'kehlani being in south africa and me not being able to see her has to be the most painful thing ever'. Another user wrote, 'I'm so jealous of the people that went to Rocking The Daises shame'.

As for Kehlani she was stoked to perform, attendees of the music festival can confirm this. Rocking the Daises official Instagram account also jumped in the conversation by sharing images from her performance with a caption 'coming and seeing is one thing, conquering is another thing. Yesterday, @kehlani CONQUERED her first ever performance on an African stage. 🌍It is only fitting that that stage be @johnniewalkersa Jungle! 🌴☀️ #JWxRTD is honoured.'

The Cape Town leg of Rocking the Daises may be complete but the singer is off to Joburg as she will be performing on the Johnnie Walker Jungle stage tonight too. Kehlani will also be headlining the Joburg leg of the festival alongside another international act, Clean Bandit!
