If you're still wondering why Nike was trending this week, here's the brief lowdown. The sportswear brand recently chose Colin Kaepernick (American Football star) as one of the faces for advertisements commemorating the 30th anniversary of its 'Just Do It' slogan.

Nike's decision to choose Colin did not sit well with some Americans, why you may ask? Well, because the NFL player was known to kneel during the national anthem as a protest against racism in the country and for some American citizens that is viewed as a sign of disrespect towards the country and national anthem.
