21-year-old actress Luyanda Mazizi might be fresh on television after her first debut on Generations, however she is not new to acting as she has done a lot of work in theatre and though her fame is just growing, Luyanda says that she gets to call someone who is in the industry dad.

In a recent interview with Massive Metro Luyanda revealed that although she might have a father in the industry who "literally does everything" she didn't get any help from him - though he inspired her to be diverse in the industry - she worked her way to fame.

“...my family members are also in the arts...he does a lot of things...he does everything, literally...he actually made me realize I can’t just be an actress..."

Luyanda went on to add that she did not want to be asked about who her father is in the industry and that she had no plans of disclosing who he is as people would think that he was her connection into the industry.

“I’m my own person, so I never wanna get asked about my parents...I literally woke up, sent an email, I’ve looked for an agency on google, like everyone can do. I found one, sent an email and they were like ‘ok cool, come through audition’, I did that audition, they liked me...a week later or two I got an email that Generations is having auditions..."

Here’s to a lifelong romance with myself 👸🏽.

Speaking on her role on Generations, the actress says that although she was nervous to do television for the first time, she was very excited to get her role as Lesedi on Generations as she not only thought she would get it but also because she says it keeps her young.

“...it was my first audition out of school, I was nervous...I’ve never been on tv before...I flunked it, I went home and I was like I didn’t get it, don’t even worry, I didn’t get it...I was really happy, it was just a reminder that, if you want something, wake up and go get it, it’s really that easy."

Luyanda went on to add that although she might like the role, many fans must remember that she is not sixteen years old, saying:

“People need to know that I’m not sixteen and every time people bump into me they are like you look so much older..."
