The winners of the 2022 South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas) consist of the most talented and most loved personalities in Mzansi.

The ceremony took place this weekend and was hosted by comedian Mpho Popps, radio royalty Khutso Theledi and Ryle De Morny. The red carpet was hosted by Lasizwe Dambuza and Palesa Tembe.

The SAFTAs recognizes the best of the best in our small screens. Those actors, actresses and local TV content that keeps us glued to our screens, received their much deserved accolades and we cannot help but note how Diepcity walked away with two accolades despite it living its last days.

The Black Brain drama series won Best telenovela and Most Popular TV Soap or Telenovela through a public vote.
