The minister announced that production companies could return to work but under tight regulations and certain safety measures would have to be implemented.
'Sanitising of the environment needs to occur before the shoot commences, during each shoot day and after wrap each day.
There must be dedicated cleaning staff to sanitise and clean bathroom spaces on regular rotation throughout the day. A daily register of all persons granted access to the set with details of their daily temperatures must be compiled," said the minister.

A R150 million Relief fund has been announced for the entertainment industry and so far 5000 applications have been received from the arts and culture sector with 300 coming from the sports sector.
During his address, the minister also pleaded that local content dominates on radio and television in order for artists in the country to benefit from royalties.
