His famous catch-phrase has gained momentum with famous brands using it as a marketing strategy, and personalities such as Somizi using it when judging at Idols South Africa, but it is mostly used by people, especially women all over. So what does it mean? Ilwa Ntombo is nguni for girl fight, which basically means women should not allow themselves to be ugly and they should fight to remain beautiful. His catch phrase has made him famous and he even decided to turn it into a song, and it is doing fairly well on the music charts. With intellectual property theft at it's peak, it came as no surprise when some people had stolen his phrase and made a song out of it. Bobo was understandably irked by this as he had also planned on releasing a similar song.
Addressing this issue he advised his followers not to download it saying the culprits will be dealt with. "I would like to explain that this song is not ours, and we explained that ours will come out this week because we are busy fixing things so everyone is happy and we do not point fingers at each other, so this one will be arrested please don't download it and my name is not even written on the song you see people," he wrote.
His song gained the attention of music maestro DJ Maphorisa who publicly declared that he will be working with Bobo to release the remix of Ilwa Ntombo. DJ Maphorisa first asked his fans to help him find entertainer and musician Bobo Mbele.
Maphorisa stays unearthing and uplifting new talent and Bobo's supporters couldn't be more happier that Madumane wants to work with him. This is because of a viral video which circulated all over Twitter and Facebook, of Bobo's manager talking to his two sisters, who then talk to Bobo in an abusive manner. Many were led to believe that Bobo's management and family are abusing him financially. His facial expression and body language as well as the tone Bobo's sister used when talking to him, sent chills down people's spines.
