If there was ever a poster child for hard work paying off, it would be Nandi Madida. We first met the charismatic starlet several years ago when she entered a couple of presenting competitions and although she did not win any of them, her talent has taken her to the top.
Over the years, the media personality has dabbled in presenting, music, fashion, acting and she has achieved a lot of success in all of these mediums.
In the first Afropunk held in Johannesburg last year, Nandi was bestowed with the honour of hosting the festival alongside Scoop Makhatini and she is now the host of an Afropunk stage in the Big Apple. Taking to Instagram, the excited starlet made the announcement.
'It is such an honor for me to make history for my continent and represent HER as the host 🎤 for Afropunk on the Green Stage." she wrote.
Speaking to ZAlebs about what the event means to her, she said, "It means inclusion, unity, power and believing that #WeThePeople can do more as one."
Like Nandi, a lot of South African girls are flying our flag on the international stage. A couple of months ago, Khabonina took her passion for yoga to the next level on an international tour where she and YogaRaj conducted the first ever #Mandela100Yogathon in Hong Kong.
