Announcing the show's return, Dorothy Ghettuba, one of the people leading the show, said, "We are so excited to announce we’ve renewed Blood & Water for a third season! Production has already commenced in Cape Town.
Our production partners at Gambit Films - Nosipho Dumisa, Bradley Joshua and Daryne Joshua are just as excited and currently hard at work to bring viewers the best season yet of the popular series," she said.
But she gave a pretty cryptic response when asked about Natasha Thahane and Cindy Mahlangu's inclusion in the new season. "We can’t say much about the production at this stage, keep an eye out for further announcements on when audiences can expect to see the series on their screens."
Finally, fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief because the new mommy has kind of confirmed her inclusion in the new season.
Sharing a card gifted to her by the team at Blood And Water, Natasha, who plays Wendy Dlamini, expressed gratitude to the production team who have done a lot for her.
"I thought I should take a moment to appreciate and acknowledge the individuals who have gone far beyond anything I anticipated. May their kindness be returned multiple times over, for what they have done and continue to do for me. Thank You Gambit Films & Netflix."
Blood And Water season 3 starred new cast members, Leroy Siyafa, who plays Sam, and Reece played by Greteli Fincham. Of course, regular faces were Khosi Ngema, Ama Qamata, Natasha Thahane, Gail Mabalane, Cindy Mahlangu, and actors Thabang Molaba, Arno Greeff, Mekaila Mathys and Dillon Windvogel.
Natasha received some backlash from people including Slik Talk who bashed her for falling pregnant and having a kid when she plays and 18-year-old.
"How are you going to justify to Blood and Water to play a teenager when you have a whole baby, you think it's going to let you play an 18 year old when you have a baby. That's not gonna happen. Natasha we all know that as a female actor when you have a baby in your 20s it's probably one of the biggest mistakes you ever made in your life. Having a baby in your 20s it's a mistake because it removes you from so many roles. You can't play a teenager and a college girl anymore."
He also went to target her baby daddy Thembinkosi Lorch. "This is one of the worst mistakes you've ever made in your life, you don't beg on a guy like Lorch. He is a complete liability , a fraud and overhyped media darling. He will disappoint you every time.
"You don't make a baby with a guy like Lorch, he is an embarrassment. I'm an Orlando Pirates supporter. Do you know how much money I've lost because of this clown? You know how much embarrassment I've had to take because of this clown? He just embarrassed us on the weekend and you gonna be impregnated by a clown like Lorch.
"Lorch in my opinion you are an embarrassment, you are a terrible football player and you've had only 1 good season,” he concluded.
