Scores of people have been caught by a surprise after learning Phil Mphela made a stop on Podcast and Chill with MacG. Evidently, a number of people were under the impression that the podcast was not the social media entertainment commentator's cup of tea.
Phil Mphela opened up about how much money he makes from doing campaigns for TV shows, including Showmax's hit series The Wife and Big Brother Mzansi.
"I could do a campaign... I did The Wife spaces, there were four spaces or whatever, when I did the season two spaces for them or whatever, I made like R80 from that. But I did a space for Big Brother that paid me way less than that. No, but I made a lot of money from Big Brother because I remember I was promoting the show, doing spaces or whatever. So, I can;t say I make R100k every month because it does not work like that" said Phil Mphela
However, when confronted with claims that he once told the Big Brother Mzansi producers that he would not shoot with the podcast team, Mphela was like a deer caught in headlights.
MacG: Wait a minute, talking about Big Brother, we were meant to come in the house with you and some other influencers before they moved in. And to see the house and chill there but they said we could not come because you are also coming and you are not the fans of us
Phil Mphela: Hayibo, who said that? Why could you not even ask like what did we do to him, that makes no sense. I did not go because I did not want to go
Mphela also addressed his beef with media personality and businesswoman Bonang Matheba. Even though both Mphela and Matheba have since buried the hatchet but they used to fight a lot, including exchanging insults on social media at one point.

"Yes we did work together on Lights, Camera and Fashion, it was a production that was done under Bonang Matheba Entertainment, that was her first production. I think the altercation happened because of what your prep person put down there. She was suing the Sunday World and I just tweeted and said I don;t think it was smart to be suing the people because at the time I believe that when you are a celebrity, and you sue a publication like that, then you giving whatever story that they have written a life." said Phile Mphela
Shocked tweeps weighed in on Mphela's visit since majority of them have always been under the impression that he was not a fan of the podcast, and as it turned out, he was not, according to MacG and the Big Brother producers.
"Not Phil Mphela on #podcastandchillwithmacg Why did I think he was not a fan/friend of the show? Anyways! #PodcastAndChill" wrote Mpho KhumaloRead more: Podcast And Chill With MacG Celebrates A Milestone
