Gospel music veteran Rebecca Malope is taking her hosting skills to the next level with her new role as a radio host.

Touch HD took to social media on Wednesday, announcing their new line up and to our surprise, the digital radio platform revealed that Rebecca Malope will be joining the Touch HD team, hosting her own talk show called The Healing Zone that focuses on gospel and social issues every Thursday on the internet radio station.

We've seen the gospel star do amazing work on television and now she's shifted her focus to the airwaves.

As mentioned, Rebecca will host her show every Thursday - from today - from 12.30pm to 2 pm.

Actress - Zola Nombona is also a part of the Touch HD team and will be co-hosting a show called 'A Hustle's Guide to Film Making.'

While others celebrate getting on board the Touch HD team, fans of Glen Lewis were shocked to find out that Glen Lewis, who hosted The Expensive Breakfast was actually doing his last show on Wednesday.

Glen Lewis randomly tweeted yesterday that it was his last day on the show and went on to lambast Touch for being a coward and hypocrite.

During an interview with IOL, Touch confirmed that Glen Lewis was indeed leaving the platform and explained that him deciding to release Glen Lewis from his duties on the digital radio station was because of the recent findings they learned about Touch HD listeners.

“We learnt that digital is not personality driven, it is engagement driven. People look into how many times you tweet, how many times you respond. The digital space is engagement driven. Digital teaches you to be a content creator. The people that you hear on air are content creators, not DJs,” Tbo Touch said.

Tbo Touch went on to explain that Glen Lewis has a different way of doing radio in comparison to how Touch HD is looking at presenting itself to its listeners.

“I feel he wants to do more traditional radio. I think what we both learnt from this experience is that one being a big star in traditional radio doesn’t guarantee you will be a big star in content creation. You always have to engage your listeners." Said Touch.
