This Wednesday, 19 August, would’ve been Reeva Steenkamp’s 32nd birthday, and even though the late model is no longer with us to celebrate it, some South African TV personalities have spoken out about Reeva and how the justice system not only failed her, but women as a whole.
Sports anchor Mpho Maboi was one of the few personalities to voice their opinion about the system and the early release of Reeva's killer Oscar Pistorius, who is set to be released on Friday, 21 August 2015.
The system wrongs us sometimes. Reeva's birthday falling in the same when as Oscar coming out of prison, years early!!

Actor and TV presenter Lumko Johnson also took the time to remember the late Reeva on her birthday.

Reeva's parents released a statement on Wednesday stating that they appreciated the interest shown by media and the heartfelt messages from the public, but will not be granting any interviews in what would've been her birthday week. Her parents added that they will continue to commemorate Reeva's birthday by focusing on her.
On 14 February 2013, Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead by her then boyfriend and Paralympian Oscar Pistorius.
