Former Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo, has been off screen for quite some now and his fans will be delighted to learn that he has apparently landed a new gig on Moja Love. According to Daily Sun sources. Mhlongo reportedly filming every day on the channel.

Moja Love is well known in the industry for developing new shows. The channel has been dominating the local TV industry lately with some of it's shows cracking DSTV's ratings and it will be interesting to see what show Somizi will be on. While details regarding the show he is working on are still sketchy, insiders close to the publication say Somizi will be filming for the next three weeks.

"He is on set everyday shooting and having a great time but it is intense. He will be shooting almost every day for the next three weeks," said Daily Sun sources.

In order to maintain a steady income, Somizi has been working hard lately. The choreographer suffered a major blow when the country cancelled him and he lost a few gigs after leaked audio clips of his estranged husband Mohale airing his dirty laundry were went viral.

Mohale
made damning accusations against Somgaga. He accused him of being physically abusive and exposed their bedroom affairs which involve Somizi's adventurous ways. Additionally, he claimed that Somizi dictated who he could work with in the industry. This even raised eyebrows since he mentioned that Somizi never wanted him to work with The Fergusons.

Somizi later released a statement and vehemently denied abusing his husband and accused Mohale of deliberately harming a reputation he has worked so hard to build.

Our relationship has its ups and downs but I have NEVER been physically or knowingly emotionally abusive towards my estranged husband. I vehemently deny the allegations of criminal acts towards him and would like to clear my name of that defamation. What I am going to state however is that we had one altercation in which I had to defend myself and both of use were physically hurt by the other. I am at this stage not at liberty  to dive deeper into the details but can state that he is not a victim in this situation.

I have been accused of sabotaging his efforts to be financially independent and can confirm that I have never made a concerted effort to block his opportunities. In fact, I have encouraged, I have even through my own channels petitioned for opportunities for him to make money through my networks and I've amplified some of the work he's done through his campaigns.

Idols SA has also decided to show him the door pending investigations into his abuse allegations.

"M-Net and Mr. Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols in light of allegations made against him. We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr. Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved." A search has been on to find Somizi's replacement on the show and it's unclear when the new judge will be revealed.
