The channel announced the news in a statement on 28 February. It has been 6 months since SK joined the show as Sabelo Cele, better known to the viewers as BEAST. This coming Thursday will see the end of the road for SK on the show.
It has been a roller coaster ride with SK’s role, as he has trended on various social media platforms with his cunning, calculating, and smooth acts with his “tongue” amongst other things. Sabelo has been in rivalry with Khaya, a role played by Zamani Mbatha, and also had intimate relations with Mam Rebs, a role by Linda Sebezo.
Sabelo then gets into conflict with both characters, who then end up killing him, the big question being, who killed Sabelo? This is after Sabelo hangs it all in front of the Mabuzas, telling the real reason he came to Mpumalanga, which was to revenge his father and Rebs is gutted.
Back at the ranch, Khaya witnesses a tender moment between Sabelo and Nandi but this time the gloves are literally off, as the 2 fight it off, physically, ending the bromance. Sabelo’s body disappears. Who killed Sabelo?
Despite his public scandals in 2022, SK Khoza's career has been a resounding success and the proof is in the pudding. Over the years, the actor has become Mzansi's most well-decorated actor and it is without a doubt that he will continue excelling at his craft this year.
In a post shared on Tuesday 03 January, SK expressed his gratitude to his fans, and family for their support. He also thanked them for rallying behind him through the most difficult times in his life
"I am extremely honoured to have received all of these awards. I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my work, because I am very sure that every other nominee for these awards was as capable if not more, of winning these awards.
Despite his public scandals and the challenges he has endured in his career in the limelight, SK said he was not one to lose sight of his goals.
"I have faced several challenges on my way here, but each one of them has only strengthened me to make me the person I am today; a thorough professional who knows exactly what he wants. I’m someone who sets his eyes on a goal and does not lose sight of it, unless it is achieved. Winning these awards would not have been possible without the inspiration I have received from my seniors and my colleagues, for whom I have the deepest respect, and from whom I have derived the strength to challenge myself and perform better at each role I portray," he wrote.
He further thanked his family, "To my parents and entire family, you truly are my pillar where I receive and am blessed with so much joy, happiness, love, kindness and care…My parents always say KILL THEM WITH LOVE, KINDNESS AND RESPECT no matter how hard they come at YOU."
