The River Returns To Its Glory Days

However, as we countdown the week until the beginning of the sixth season, excitement over the current main storylines have fans interested in the upcoming events of the telenovela. An interest that has suggested that the soapie might just be returning to its glory days. 

The River returns to its glory days 

Last week, fans of the telenovela were elated when The River marked the return of heartthrob and fan-favourite character Mabutho played by Thembinkosi Mthembu. Mthembu has taken a production break from the series in 2022 in order to be part of the cast of Shaka iLembe.
However, with his return, it marked an interesting plot twist which fans of the telenovela had not expected for the most part. This is as Mabutho returned as the long-lost son of Mr Hlophe and was welcomed into the family with warm hands by his father and not so much the rest of the family.
But with the trailer of the upcoming episodes of this week, fans are even more excited for the return of Mabutho. This is as they missed the bad boy doing crime and looking good while doing it. As such, this has been a point of interest for this coming week. 

Moreover, as it seems that this is officially the robbery which will subsequently resulted in Mabutho eventually being found out by Zweli Dikana, which will result in uLalaโ€™s death.
Outgoing actress, Tango Ncetezo as Paulinaโ€™s comeback storyline has also interested the public. This is as it seems that she will finally get her happy ending. This is as the official teasers for the upcoming episodes of the telenovela do suggest that Angelina will lose baby Mpho, who she stole from the hospital. Detailed as:

Besides the two main storylines. There is the surprising matter of Andile and Njabuloโ€™s marriage seemingly looking like it will come to an end. A fact which has had many fans of the telenovela remark just how much Andile and Lindiwe have in common when it comes to their love lives.

A begging, pleading and bargaining that Lindiwe has done a number of times throughout the five seasons of The River in order to save her marriage to Zweli Dikana. As such, it seems that The River is planning to close off this season in a manner it could not carry out the entire season- and that is with a bang.

This is as he is similar to his mother as Andile is unabashed to beg, plead and bargain with the man in his life. This is as Njabulo is steadfast in his want for a divorce, while Andile has forgotten all about isโ€™dima in an effort to save his marriage.
