However, when the young star left the acting role, she made it clear that her focus would be honing her musical aspirations. As such, in recent years, she has been making a name for herself as one of the leading “DJing baddies,” whose skills have sometimes been called into question.
But it seems that it has not deterred Phongolo from pursuing her dreams. More so given her recent posts on Instagram.
Thuli P now working on music
After laying low on social media for a couple of days, it seems that Thuli P is ready to put the past behind her and focus on her latest musical venture.
This comes as she took to her Instagram stories to share that she is now planning on venturing into producing her music. As such, she shared a teaser of the single she is working on via her stories which she is collaborating with producer-composer Given Zulu.
Interestingly, at first glance, Given could be confused with the man Thuli is believed to be dating. This man is none other than one-half of the musical duo Scorpion Kings, Sonnyboy “Maphorisa” Sekowe.
Recently, the assumed couple was the site of drama as their relationship faced an “abuse” hurdle. As reported in light of the aftermath:
the couple released joint statements basically informing the public that they have resolved their relationship woes privately. They asked for people to refrain from making any more defamatory statements regarding the incident.
“Being public figures, it is unavoidable that the public, media, and their respective commercial partners all have an interest in this matter. Accordingly, they have decided to release this joint statement as the official and exclusive statement in the matter.
“The matter has received mixed public attention, causing a great deal of emotional stress on both parties involved. It is on this basis that the parties have elected to resolve this matter privately through their respective management and legal teams. Consequently, Phongolo has since withdrawn the charges laid against Sekowe.”
Their statements continues, “Both parties have noted with concern, the disparaging, defamatory and (in some instances) untrue remarks, statements and reports emanating from the incident and view these in a serious light. The parties reserve their rights to individually pursue legal action against people making defamatory and/or false statements in relation to this matter.”
Social media users are having a field day with their statements. Some having anticipated this move from Thuli while others are shocked by this. Forever yena started trending with tweeps taking digs at the couple.
