In the month of May, ZAlebs attended Tresor’s album listening session which was held at Universal Music in Rosebank.
Tresor, who was working with Universal at the time, mesmerised the crowd with his soulful voice and humility.
Whilst performing some of his tracks, Tresor opened the platform for any questions the media had for him, a representer from Sony Music Africa unexpectedly announced that they were interested in releasing Tresor’s debut album. Much to everyone's surprise, Tresor said that he would get back to them.
A month later and it seems Tresor has indeed got back to Sony. On Friday morning, Sony confirmed that Tresor has indeed signed an exclusive Pan African deal with Sony Music Entertainment Africa.
“As part of his major label debut, we’re releasing his new single. “ Never Let Me Go,” this week. The single was co-written and co-produced by Matthew Field from Beatenberg.” said the Sony team.
Tresor has performed alongside Eddie Grant, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Freshly Ground, Prime Cirlce, Just Jinger, Goldfish, Vusi Mahlasela, Lira, HHP, and Johnny Clegg in the past.
