Although the majority of South Africans are only going to see Trevor Noah’s debut on The Daily Show on Tuesday night, by the looks of social media and reviews from American critics, our very own Trevor made a strong start to life on the hugely popular show.
Noah was under enormous pressure to make a first and lasting impression during his first episode, especially considering that he was stepping into the shoes of a late-night TV veteran like Jon Stewart.
According to money.cnn.com, Bill Carter, a CNN analyst who has authored two books about late-night TV, said he thought Noah made a smooth debut.
We all know that Americans can be hard to impress, however, the American media have welcomed Trevor Noah with open arms.
And it seems like many of them were charmed by his smile and dimples.
