The scourge of nyaope has affected many in our various communities. Therefore, it is always encouraging when members of the community that we live in, create initiatives that could potentially aid the increment of individuals addicted to nyaope.
South African actress, Zinhle Ngwenya has created an initiative called, #NyaopeWillFall, whereby various well-known musicians including, Sjava, Cassper and Kwesta have been booked to perform at the event.
Ensuring that almost anyone can pull through, the event has free entry and is set to start at 9 am in Nomaqala Home of Hope in the North West this coming Sunday.
Speaking to Daily Sun, the actress expressed her concerns about the plight of nyaope and the negative effects it has on the youth. This is the main reason why she launched the campaign in the hopes to help those addicted to the drugs and to also ensure they stay away from the drugs as well.
Proving just how unique this event is, Zinhle has set in place rehabilitation programmes whereby drug addicts are taken to rehab centres, with sponsorship injections from the North West.
She added the following:
"We have already sent a few boys and girls to rehab. We also want to help people who need help to stay away from drugs. "
Drugs are seriously destroying people's lives especially the youth. Therefore initiatives such as these are needed in our communities.
Kudos to Zinhle.
