Speaking to Daily Sun she said this was her first audition ever. Her landing this role was a sign that she is headed the right direction.
“This was the first audition I attended and getting a call-back to be part of a show with an amazing cast and crew was a sign that I’m headed in the right direction. I can’t wait for viewers to see what we have in store for them. Honestly speaking, landing this role was affirmation of my decision to go back to school in 2021 to study acting and performing art,” she told the publication.
Zodwa took the decision to go back to school in 2021 by enrolling at the Star Quality Performing Arts College. This was well documented in her reality show Zodwa Uncensored and it seems like it was a good decision.
She encouraged people to not hesitate going back to school if they feel that is the right decision for them.
“If going back to school is something people are thinking of doing, I strongly suggest they do it without thinking twice It can work for them like it did for me,” she encouraged.
At the time, she said, "My first day at school was a bag of mixed emotions. I was excited and nervous at the same time, but I really enjoyed myself. Everyone was welcoming and friends. It was better than I imaged it would be. My first day was not hectic. We had a brief introduction to what we’d be doing throughout the course, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me because I’m ready for every challenge on the way.
"Although at first I felt small that after all that I’d achieved I have to go back and sit behind a desk and learn, I realised it’s not something that one should be ashamed of. I hope one day my story will inspire others.
"When you want something you make time for it. I will make sure I plan everything properly so I have time to attend classes and study. In life we have to make sacrifices to get what we want."
Zodwa shared some words of wisdom with her fans and pointed out what many need to do to be successful. "Remember when you pray to God or uk'phahla asking for a job and money, you didn't say to the ancestors you will choose the job, you didn't say to God you will choose the job. You didn't say to your ancestors when it comes to money you won't take R10 you want R100,000."
"When you phahla and ask for money, you take whatever money that comes your way. Don't be picky, take everything that comes your way because your dreams will not come true because you are too picky. There is no good or bad job," she continued.
Zodwa Wabantu is on a high career trajectory. She just embarked on a spiritual journey which makes her Inkosazana Yamanzi.
We cannot say her relationship is though because she also called the cops on her boyfriend Ricardo.
